WATER

Fully Activated : Respond

Negative Expression : React

This too shall pass.

Water is the home of emotion, the element where we feel - the pain and the pleasure. The wound of the sacral chakra/water elements is denial as it creates this need to run and hide from the discomfort of the truth. The challenge here is to sit with the discomfort as it arises and know emotions, like water is ever moving and changing form. We are not in control when we are following the desire and avoiding the pain.

Unbalanced ways of the water

Deficient - passive or energetically numb

Excessive - aggressive or manic

  • Addicted to anything that brings pleasure - food, gambling, sex, work, alcohol, drugs, compulsive bullying

  • Feeling emotionally numb or cold and you find it hard to feel very much of any emotion

  • You’re neurotic and can’t handle spontaneity or uncertainty

  • Reproductive problems, infertility, potency, menstrual issues

  • You’re constantly fatigued

  • Extremely reactive and a drama junkie

  • Emotionally hypersensitive or emotionally aloof

  • Creatively blocked and tend to overthink everything

  • Lower back, kidney or stomach disorders, UTIs

How we skilfully work with water

Cancer

Cancer teaches us that in order to grow we must SHED THE SHELL OF OUR COMFORTABLE HOME and face our fears lurking in the shadows of the childhood home. This brings great vulnerability when you can be totally exposed in all your emotion of facing the scary parts. Cancer is about learning INNER SECURITY, as the outside world (Capricorn opposite) is out of our control. Only we can create the stability within ourselves to work with whatever rises in front of us.

Scorpio

Scorpio is like two rivers merging into one great river together. This is where we combine with anything you wish to transform with which is why sexuality is the most common scorpio theme. True intimacy to merge with another requires deep trust and vulnerablity

“Fear is the absence of love”
